If you have been to Turkey for
holidays only and you want to settle and buy a property here before that
best thing to do is rent a property and stay atleast afew months and make
sure you are happy with everything in the country, system, people,
traditions, local life, etc...
* If you are planning to
bring your furnitures with you from your home in abroad to Turkey then make sure
in advance you have residency visa for you and your family on your passports
(You get it done by Turkish consulate in your country) . So this
will make your custom process easier.
* You can find rental homes
with furnitures and you can buy very good quality home furnitures and
goods in Turkey with very reasonable prices and payment ways. Therefore
sometimes to bringing your furnitures form your country to Turkey will not
be reasonable. It may also be a big cost effect.
* As Turkey is a developing
country things are changing so fast from this month to next month of time.
(ei; custom system, laws, costs, taxes, formalities, etc ...) Therefore we
recommend you to check everything with your local advisors in Turkey
before you make any step a head for anything about buying property or moving
to Turkey.
* If you are retired. Please
bring a paper from your local authority to prove it. This will be needed
or asked for some formalities here in Turkey.
* To settle here and start
your residency formalities you will need, your passport, passport pictures
(quite afew of them required) plenty of money, personal Turkish tax number (you
will get it from tax office in Turkey) and bank accounts in Turkey.
