UZUMLU & INCIRKOY; A beautiful valley with green fields and breath taking scenery of Taurus mountains and pine forests. Still untouched natural and authentic Turkish life still exists in this Ottoman village. If you are looking for an authentic place to live or invest, with beautiful locations, Uzumlu & Incirkoy are most very suitable places . Uzumlu has its own Municipality that makes things easier for foreign investors. They look after registrations, building administration, potable water, street cleaning, garbage etc... There are public buses and minibuses from each village to Fethiye city center.

Also every week (on Friday) there is local market in Uzumlu village for either vegetables, clothes and local weaving for the home and more...

In Uzumlu village there are restaurants (Turkish style kebap-shops, pide-pizza place ...) grocery shops, post office and Turkish cafe-shops available.

Uzumlu & Incirkoy are rural villages that share the same plateau. Local people make their livings still with agriculture and weaving "dastar” –Scarf. Uzumlu means “grape place”, there are grape vines for grape products as local wine, grape juice, sweets etc. Incirkoy means “fig village” there are many fig trees as well as olive groves, grapes. Locally tobacco is also grown.

 

Since year 2001. Mainly British, but also German, Dutch, Scandinavian and other nationalities are buying and building holiday homes and settling here in these villages. Uzumlu & Incırkoy are in Northwest of Fethiye city. They are only 20km from Fethiye center, 15km to the beach resort of Calis, 65km from International Dalaman airport and 32km from Oludeniz beach. There are excellent asphalt roads linking these places and opened in 2006 a tunnel through the mountains near Gocek. 

   

Calis Beach is one of the most popular tourist resort in Fethiye area with its long shingle beach where the Caretta Caretta turtles are found nesting on the beach. There are holiday hotels, apartments as well as villas, restaurants, shops, shopping center, bars, clubs available nowadays. Every Sunday there is local market in Calis for vegetables, clothes, home furnishing, etc...

Summer season starts end of April until end of October. During this period of the year mostly days are sunny and hot. Calis Beach is famous with its summer breeze all day long. That makes this resort convenient for windsurfing and other water-sports as well.

There are public buses and minibuses available to everywhere of city even public transportation by river boat which it departs from riverside of Calis beach.

Calis beach is famous for its beautiful sunset. You can have your drinks on one of the beach bar by enjoying sunset.

There are already over 4000 people foreign residence living in Hisaronu & Ovacik area. Majority are European citizens.

Some of them they own two houses to let other holiday makers, while generating a profitable investment for future. As the land is limited, prices going up every year.

 

There are many types of holiday hotels, apartments, villas, restaurants, bars, shops, banks, post office and 24hrs health services available nearly all year around.

Also a local market is on every Wednesday in Hisaronu, every Tuesday in Fethiye, is the main big market for buying vegetables, clothes, souvenirs and gifts etc...

Hisaronu & Ovacik has its own Municipality that make things easier for foreign residence. They are not only dealing with building and permission, they are also responsible for your running water, roads, dirty-water, street lights & cleaning and garbage. There are public minibuses available all day long to every place.
